Every month we publish a new edition of release notes to introduce Finaloop's newest features and product updates. Here are this month's updates:
🛒 New Action Available on Your Orders Page
Finally, the order flexibility you've been asking for!
You can now void and unvoid specific items within orders (not just entire orders). This means you have surgical precision over what stays in your books and what doesn't.
Why this matters to you: Shopify doesn't always play nice when it comes to editing orders for accurate books. Now you can override this directly in Finaloop to get your numbers exactly right. Perfect for exchanges, cancellations, or any tricky order situations.
Just head to your Branded Store Orders page, select the order or orders you want to edit and click Actions>Void.
🚀Many more order superpowers coming soon!
💰 Shopify Capital Automation is Here!
One of our biggest launches for loans yet!
Your Shopify Capital loans now work like magic—fully automated with real-time classification and recording. No more waiting on manual processing.
Here's the awesome stuff happening behind the scenes for you:
Smart Transaction Allocation: Every transaction is accurately matched with the right loan, with principal and interest split perfectly.
Instant Fee Recognition: Financing fees calculate and record themselves while you sleep.
✨Coming soon: We're bringing this same automation magic to Wayflyer loans!
🏦 Your New Banks & Cards Page is Live!
We completely reimagined how you manage your financial accounts—and it's beautiful. Your new financial command center includes:
Account Hub: View all accounts, statuses, and balances in one place.
Smarter Missions: Tasks that make sense, organized in a flow that works with your brain.
Decluttered UI: Banking tasks so clean and simple, you'll almost enjoy them.
Currently rolling out to select customers (you might be one of the lucky early ones!). Everyone gets access in the coming weeks.
📦 Default Purchase Type Rules
Managing inventory purchase types just got a whole lot easier.
The Inventory team just dropped an exciting new feature that'll make you wonder how you lived without it - default purchase type rules! Now you can set rules that automatically tag bills or payments as incidentals based on their category, the vendor name, or even the amount —no more manual work on your end.
What are incidentals? Think of them as your inventory-related expenses that skip the inventory balance dance and go straight to Product COGS on your P&L (based on transaction date).
Quick compliance note: We've got your back on tax rules! US tax laws don't allow treating finished products, supplies & materials, or consignment as incidentals, so our default purchase type rules automatically skip these category options to keep your books perfectly compliant.
Perfect for you if: You're tired of manually categorizing bubble wrap, packing supplies, or dropshipping expenses every single time. Set it once, enjoy it forever!

Fun fact: This is just the beginning of our dropshipping solution overhaul. We're building something special for both Sales-based and InventoryIQ users!
